COMMUNITY TREE PLANTING AND CLEAN-UP DAY
by Parkway Moodle Admin - Thursday, 23 April 2009, 01:05 PM

Parkway Student Council met on April 22nd. Master Gardeners Dolores Jungert-Davisson and Jennifer Shawley presented information on trees with the same names as some of our streets. They also gave us information on recognizing different types of trees. Ms. Davisson and Ms. Shawley presented the Student Council with a game on recognizing trees.

At 1:00, on the 22nd, Student Council Representatives planted two maple trees on the east side of Parkway. Mayor Donna Engle was invited and helped dedicate our trees.

This was also Parkway Community Day. Staff and students cleaned up, weeded, swept and did things to help Parkway look its best.

At the end of a busy, warm afternoon everyone got to have some ice cream to help celebrate our special day.
