The CHS DECA program again sponsored and organized the 4th Grade Entrepreneurship Conference. All 4th grade students throughout the district worked in teams or as individuals to come up with their own unique business. The students were responsible for coming up with an idea for what type of business they would create, the name of their business, how much money it would cost to get started, how they would get the money to fund their business, and who their clientele would be. On Wednesday, November 18, all the 4th grade students met at CHS to listen to local entrepreneurs and hear who received selected business awards. The following Highland students received recognition for their business plans:
Most Educational Business: Niobe Bender and Skilar Haning Best Snack Idea: Amira Bonaparte Best Sport Idea: Trey Haddon Best of Highland: Graeson Bolen and Alicia Hietstuman
Great job to all our 4th grade students and a special thank you to Lynn Carey, DECA teacher, and all her DECA students at CHS. |
